Of Myths and Magic

Journey into the world of legends, enchantment and epic storytelling in The Phil’s second concert of the 2026-27 season, “Of Myths and Magic”. The program will weave the power of myth through evocative choral works, from selections from Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana” to the Harry Potter theme to music inspired by the Northern Lights. Please join us for a concert where ancient myths, magical worlds and choral artistry come to life!

With music that reflects the sky, water, and landscapes that shape our lives, The Phil invites you to experience the beauty and spirit of the natural world in a concert featuring Norwegian composer Ola Gjeilo's radiant “Sunrise Mass.” Experience an afternoon where nature's voice is heard through the power of choral music!

The Winnipeg Philharmonic Choir — Let’s meet up in real life to share the beauty of great choral works.

A choral trademark for the City of Winnipeg, the Winnipeg Philharmonic Choir’s repertoire includes a broad range of music such as oratorios (such as Sir Paul McCartney’s *Ecce Cor Meum*), masses, songs, and choral symphonies with a focus on major choral works with orchestral accompaniment.
